Based on the original Autopot design, the Easy2Grow system uses two 8.5 litre pots per tray with the innovative gravity-fed Aquavalve system that’s easy to set up and maintain.
The advantages to this system are that it doesn’t require an electric pump as it uses gravity to supply nutrient solution to the pots. It is also easily modified and can be expanded on a tray by tray basis.
The system works by storing nutrients in a tank – a 47 litre one is available and suitable for up to three Easy2Grow trays, additional trays will require a larger water butt.
Customer feedback has told us that the Easy2Grow system works incredibly well with a premium quality buffered light mix or batmix, and that it is worth putting a couple of litres of clay pebbles in the bottom of the pots.
It’s possible to leave the Easy2Grow system for seven to ten days at a time depending on plant size and environmental conditions, but while the system doesn’t require a pump to work we would suggest putting a mixer pump in the nutrient tank to prevent the solution from separating.
Hesi soil nutrients are generally our choice when it comes to growing under lights, General Hydroponics feed seems to work best in a greenhouse environment.
Each Easy2Grow module consists of two 8.5 litre pots in a tray controlled by a single Aquavalve and measures 58cm long x 24cm wide x 20cm high. Always ensure that your nutrient tank is at least 15cm higher than the highest Easy2Grow tray, and refill the tank when it drops below 1/3 full.
