This 1000W HPS grow light will give you some serious growing power. Manufactured by renowned lighting manufacturer Osram, you are guaranteed a high performing, high quality lamp that is designed to ensure you get the most out of your plants.
Osram were one of the first manufacturers to make HPS lights for growing plants. Since those early days, they have continued their dedication to innovation and quality; the result being great HPS grow lights that are consistent and highly reliable.
Designed for the flowering and fruiting stages of plant development, this 1000W HPS primarily puts out light in the red and yellow spectrum, mimicking the autumnal light that would usually accompany this stage of development. The results of using a HPS light that emits these spectrums for flowering and fruiting is boosted growth and flower formation and, most importantly, increased yields.
It is important to note that this 1000W HPS light is only intended for use during the flowering and fruiting stage. If you need lighting for all stages of growth, then you will have to either use a dual spectrum HPS or a separate lamp that emits blue spectrum light (such as a metal halide) for the vegetative stage of growth.
However, if you have the space, it is possible to use both HPS and metal halides during all stages of growth, recommended at a ratio of one metal halide for every two HPS lights for best results. This set-up, often used by professional growers, will output the greatest range of plant usable light and will help you get the very most out of your plants.
Osram are a tried, tested, and trusted manufacturer that consistently produces highly effective and reliable HPS grow lights. This 1000W HPS is no exception and will give any gardener some serious growing power – just remember to replace the bulbs around once every 8 months as they do degrade over time. Overall, one of the best HPS lights on the market and highly recommended by all of us here at Green’s.
